38 unique apartments are now ready in The Silo in Nordhavn

Some of Denmark's most unique and attractive apartments are now ready in Nordhavn. The much discussed rebuilding of the characteristic "Hva Drikker MølR" silo has been completed and the apartments are or will be handed over to their new owners during May and June.
 
The building has been completed in close collaboration between Klaus Kastbjerg and NRE Denmark A/S as the building owners and the architectural company COBE. NRE Denmark has also had the role as turn-key contractor.
 
The total of 38 apartments in the 17-storey building range in size from 106 to 401 square meters. Many of the apartments have floor to ceiling heights of up to 8 meters, and several of the larger apartment’s span two floors. Later in the year, a restaurant will open on the top floor. From most of the apartments and the top floor restaurant you will find a magnificent view overlooking Copenhagen Harbor, Øresund, and the city in general.
 
With the conversion, the original grain silo has been given a new and more open façade, with large panoramic windows and balconies, providing many of the apartments with panoramic views. Internally, the varying room heights of the silo are utilized for each floor, making all apartments unique, while the existing concrete is visible in many places.
 
The two upper floors of the building are an addition to the original building. They benefit from panoramic views and glass windows creating a contrast to the rest of the building's new facade. During the day, the facade on the upper floors will mirror the city and sea and fade in with the sky. In the evening, they will appear illuminated from the inside.
 
Of the 38 apartments, 27 are delivered as turn-key apartments. Eight apartments were handed over in January as so-called "design ready" apartments, that is, the buyer has chosen to complete the apartments themselves. There are still some apartments available for sale.
