NRE deliver the second stage of Søtorvet

At the beginning of March NRE Denmark A/S delivered the second stage of the urban development project, Søtorvet, in central Silkeborg, to AP Ejendomme. With the completion of the second stage, another 60 sustainable and Nordic Ecolabelled homes are now ready for occupancy. When the construction on Søtorvet is completed, the property will consist of a total of 286 apartments.

Adm. Director of AP Ejendomme, Peter Olsson, is pleased that another stage of Søtorvet has now been completed, with occupancy for new owners and tenants as early as March 1st.

- We are very excited about our urban development project in Silkeborg. Therefore, we are of course also very happy that NRE Denmark has once again handed over apartments on Søtorvet that fully live up to our expectations. We are convinced that the 60 new homes will form a good framework - both inside and out - for the future residents. We are proud to say that all the rental homes in the second stage have been rented out, while just over half of the owner-occupied homes have been sold. This confirms our decision to do this project on Søtorvet, which NRE Denmark realizes in the best way, says Peter Olsson.

The future residents of the newly built towers will live in the center of Silkeborg with nature right outside the door in an area that is already buzzing with life.

Peter Olsson highlights C.F. Møller Architects, who are the architects behind Søtorvet.

- With its location between Papirfabrikken and Silkeborg Langsø, Søtorvet has a phenomenal location. We are dealing with one of the most central and visible places in Silkeborg, so the architectural quality shouldn’t be compromised, and that task is nicely lifted by C.F. Møller Architects, which you can now see for yourself. It is a gem in the middle of Silkeborg, where the residents can enjoy nature every day while being in the middle of Silkeborg's busy shopping area. At the same time, I am very happy that Søtorvet is an inclusive and socially sustainable place where people from outside can also use the public city park. It is important that our projects can accommodate all kinds of people, says Peter Olsson.

The turnkey contractor NRE Denmark A/S, which has been responsible for the construction of AP Ejendomme's project on Søtorvet from the beginning, is very satisfied with the presentation of the second stage of the urban development project.

- As a turnkey contractor, we are very happy that we can complete another stage at Søtorvet. It is an exciting and ambitious project that AP Ejendomme is building on Søtorvet and we are pleased that we can be responsible for the realization of the residential area. We are convinced that Søtorvet will make a positive contribution to Silkeborg's continued development, says Jacob Eiskjær Olesen, CEO of NRE Denmark.

According to the plan, the construction of Søtorvet will be completed during 2024. A total of five out of eight residential towers have now been built on Søtorvet.
