The new residential area, Carolinelunden, in Kanalbyen in Fredericia is starting to take shape. The residential area is now so far along that NRE and the owner AP Ejendomme, has held the topping-out ceremony for Carolinelunden, which will consist of 143 Swan-labelled rental homes.

The 143 homes are divided into 128 apartments, 10 terraced houses and five two story town houses. The apartments are built with great variation in sizes from 45-125 square meters. The many homes are divided into two construction plots, which AP Ejendomme has previously bought from Kanalbyen, which is owned by Realdania By & Byg and Fredericia Municipality.

NRE Denmark is the turnkey contractor for the project, and CEO of AP Ejendomme, Peter Olsson, is enthusiastic about the work that the turnkey contractor is carrying out in Fredericia.

- We took the first sod to Carolinelunden in August last year, and NRE delivers a solid and beautiful piece of work that realizes our many thoughts for the area in the very best way. With the topping-out ceremony, we are now looking forward to the completing the project and a continue our good collaboration with NRE, says Peter Olsson.

Peter Olsson, is extremely pleased that the topping-out ceremony has now been held for the Fredericia homes.

- Carolinelunden is with its many diverse homes a project that we feel convinced will appeal to many different target groups. Fredericia is with its location, a very attractive city to live in. Because you can quickly and easily get to other parts of Jutland, just as it does not take long to get to Funen or Zealand. Thus, the city can be ideal for many commuters, says Peter Olsson.

At NRE Denmark, they are also pleased that the ceremony has just been held for the 143 homes.

- It is a great pleasure to celebrate another topping-out ceremony with AP Pension. The ceremony is a good opportunity to say thank you to all craftsmen and other actors in and around the project. We are at a stage in construction where we can clearly see and feel the change from a bare field to a new residential area. We look forward to continuing the work and handing over a really nice building to AP Pension in some nice surroundings, says Kurt Laursen, technical director of NRE Denmark.

The mayor of Fredericia, Steen Wrist, is following the ongoing development of Carolinelunden with interest. The mayor believes that it will contribute to the continued development of the municipality.

- It is important for Fredericia Municipality that modern and attractive housing is built, which can attract new citizens, but which also provides new opportunities for our current citizens. With the homes in Carolinelunden, Fredericia gets new and interesting housing opportunities, which help to continue the development in the municipality. I have followed the construction of Carolinelunden closely, and I have no doubt that it will make a positive contribution to the area, says Steen Wrist.
