NRE and Slättö are first to build in Kristineberg
31 January 2024
The wheels have started turning and earthwork has begun in Kristineberg in Vallentuna. The real estate investment company Slättö has acquired 126 environmentally friendly rental homes from NRE Sweden AB, who has developed the project and is the turnkey contractor of the construction.
Kristineberg is a brand new urban development area in the southern part of Vallentuna, where proximity to nature is combined with a central location and good transport links into Stockholm.
When the area is fully developed, it will contain approximately 1,800 homes as well as a nursing home, school and kindergarten. The local development plan for stage 1, which includes approximately 800 homes, was approved in 2019, and since then the area's roads and infrastructure has been expanded.
Slättö and NRE Sweden are the first to start construction in the area's 2nd stage. The homes are expected to be ready for occupancy during 2025.
The project is centrally located in Kristineberg, which is characterized by its proximity to nature and high ambitions in terms of both design and sustainability.
The neighborhood is divided into three point houses with clear entrances facing the street, underground parking for cars and bicycles and shared green yards. Behind the neighborhood lies a forest edge with mixed forest and rock formations in an undisturbed location.
The apartments, in various sizes, are space-saving and well-planned, with floor-to-ceiling light and spacious balconies and terraces.
The buildings are constructed with a strong focus on sustainability, and will be constructed in accordance with the EU's taxonomy and certified as Environmental Building Silver, with healthy materials and low energy consumption. In the garage, there will be a shared car and bicycle scheme with electric bicycles and electric cargo bikes available to the tenants, as well as an environmental room for the collection of recycled materials.
