New freight termnial for ALPI

NRE is about to start building a new freight terminal for ALPI at exit 40, Hammerum between Herning and Ikast. NRE Denmark A/S is the turn-key contractor on the building which will be handed over by the summer of 2016.  

 

The building of 7,900 sqm is the first stage of the relocation of ALPI from Lind. The next stage will include an 8,000 sqm warehouse and a 3,500 sqm administrationbuilding.

The new terminal is divided into 5 column-free houses. In connection with the western house a 400 sqm shed roof will be made, which offers the best posibilities to handle goods more than six metres in length. Three of the five houses will be ready for use by 1 June 2016 and the rest of stage 1 is expected to be ready two months later. Architects are Årstiderne Arkitekter.

 

The building is made on a plot of 150,000 sqm which ALPI bought at the end of the year 2014.
