A new Netto-shop and 40 new owner-occupied flats at Vallensbæk Stationstorv

The construction of 40 new owner-occupied flats and a new Netto shop at Vallensbæk Stationstorv has just started. The builder is a fund administered by Nordic Real Estate Partners. NRE Denmark A/S is the turn-key contractor.
 
The new Netto shop will take over from the present shop on the other side of the street.
 
The owner-occupied flats are made in sizes from 39 - 100 squaremetres with a joint roof terrace and in a high architectural quality. The new Netto will have a total area of 1200 squaremetres. The total area of the entire building will be 4200 squaremetres (floor space).
 
The construction is part of large development of the center area in Vallensbæk - North and South of Vallensbæk Station. In the area a total of 19,550 squaremetres of retail can be built. At present a number of consumer goods shops as well as restaurants are located in the area - such as SuperBrugsen, Netto, Rema 1000, McDonalds, Dominos Pizza, a Chinese restaurant and a fitness centre.
 
The municipality of Vallensbæk want to create better facilities for the citizens as well as a better sense of security by having more houses. Therefore the ground is prepared for massive growth and densification in the entire area. The vision is to create a connection from Stationstorvet to Strandparken, potentially with a Spanish-style promenade along Vallensbæk Torvevej.
 
In connection with the construction the parking lot at the South-side of the Vallensbæk S-train station will be rebuild and expanded. Several of the large roads in the area will be narrowed and the future speed limit will be 50 km/hour: Furthermore pedestrains and bikers will get improved facilities.

The construction is expected to finish in December 2017. Skovhus Arkitekter have made the drawings and HAMI Consult is the consulting engineer.
